The goal of this site is to serve as a repository for current technical discussions concerning OS/2 Warp and eComStation. Please feel free to create an account, and join in the discussion.
Besides questing after the original content from the WarpTech event website, this Geeklog-driven news and discussion portal (running on a Warp 4.5.2 server) will eventually integrate with the OS/2 mailing lists hosted at 2rosenthals.com, allowing for seamless web or email reading and posting.

There are no less than four OS/2 events occurring this year. Warp Developers Conference for developers of OS/2 products to get together (which is encouraging in itself), Warpstock Europe, Warpstock CzechRepublic, and finally, the Granddaddy of them all, the ninth annual Warpstock - The Sweetest one yet. The location selected for 2005 is Hershey, Pennsylvania (known as the "Sweetest place on earth") October 6th to 9th. This year we need your input:

Hi All,
this is not only a idea, but i've tested the way to do it, I actualy need people who are willing to test some stuff for me in a windows AD enviroment.
right now, i'm able ( in theory ) to acces domain information published in windows AD from a rexx script, get acces to shares and verify my password to the windows AD server.
With samba plugin and SLPR port driver you should be able to get acces to your shares and printers.
if you are interested let me know !
With Regards
Bart van Leeuwen

The architecture of the PCMCIA/CardBUS stack is rather outmoded. The importance of proper positioning of the power management driver ($ICPMOS2.SYS) in CONFIG.SYS cannot be emphasized enough.

I've added a new forum category specifically for hardware vs driver discussions, and added several topic areas (networking, I/O, modems & terminal adapters, printers, etc.).

A new OS/2 user group on Long Island, NY has been formed, to replace the original group which has been out of circulation for some time. Long Island OS/2 Users Group has its homepage hosted here, at Rosenthal & Rosenthal, LLC's offices in Dix Hills, New York.
